Hello! I'm Katie! A certified labor/postpartum doula based out of Dover , Delaware. My passion for birth work began during my first pregnancy as a young mom with limited knowledge and not much of a local support system. A whole new world blossomed for me as I immersed myself in learning about the miracle of pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Every woman deserves to feel empowered, acknowledged, and cared for as they journey through the beauty of bringing a new life into this world. My goal in this work is to support mothers and their families through that journey with love and insight.

I’m the mother of 2 beautiful SonShines - Zuhri, age 17 1/2 and Solomon, age 13, and an 8 year old fur baby named Amber. I’m a singer/songwriter/bandleader, retired Professional School Counselor with over 30 years of experience, SC Notary Public, Licensed Hair Braider, and certified in Reiki level II . In July 2020, I fulfilled one of many of my lifetime goals by becoming a certified labor and postpartum doula, and placenta encapsulation specialist through Blooming Lotus Birthing Service via the teachings of the incredible, beautiful and most awesome Zemekia. I hold a Bachelor of Science from SC State University in General Home Economics, and a Master of Science in Education with emphasis in Counseling and Health Sciences from the University of Dayton. I am looking forward to all of the amazing work to be done, as well as connecting with other amazing and beautiful souls.

 My name is Doll. I am a Blooming Lotus trained/certified Postpartum Labor Doula. I am located in the Memphis area. I am also pursing as an herbalist in connection with being a doula. My name is Tamara Bell-Alexander. I am a mother of 2 and grandma of 3. I have been a caretaker all my life,as my mom raised me to care for the people in my family. I became a certified doula in 2022 ,through Blooming Lotus Birthing  Services, to help my daughter, as she was becoming a first time mother. I wanted her to experience a positive birthing experience and feel empowered about her decisions she wanted for her body. I want to be an advocate and support for women's health,  labor& delivery and post partum care. I want to empower our women to be heard in a space where we are often made to feel small, unheard and overlooked. I  have wanted to do this for years and finally stepped out on faith. I am a laboratory Liaison Technician for Quest Diagnostics inside an OB/ GYN office. I draw blood for the clients and process specimens. I see first hand how my knowledge, love and support helps these young woman, so what better way to further help  young women, then become a doula.
